Physiotherapy

Qualified physiotherapists conduct physiotherapy session at the centre for children with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, Paraplegia, Quadriplegia, Hemiparesis etc. The many different physiotherapy sessions include routines such as:

  • Quadriceps muscle strengthening for post-surgery rehabilitation and relative problems
  • General muscle strengthening for children with gross developmental delay especially those with hypotonia (muscle weakness).
  • Fine motor strengthening (e.g. grasping an object) for children with fine motor skill problem.
  • Gait training with the assistance of a walker guided by a therapist for children with unsteady gait especially those with a ‘foot drop’ and children who has problems with  their posture and mobility.
  • Head control stimulation activity to improve a child’s  gross motor skills.
